Carla Marina Marchese, Beekeeper, Author, Speaker and Honey Expert is an passionate and inspirational speaker who has dedicated her life to honeybees and educating chefs, foodies and beekeepers about the culinary delights of artisanal honey. She is the founder of Red Bee ® Honey, The American Honey Tasting Society and the author of the international best selling book HONEYBEE Lessons from an Accidental Beekeeper and The Honey Connoisseur with Kim Flottum, editor of Bee Culture magazine both published by Black Dog and Leventhal, NYC.  Carla Marina is the past president of the Back Yard Beekeepers Association of Connecticut and has spoken at the Heartland Apicultural and Eastern Apicultural Society’s annual conferences. She enjoys sharing her personal story and journey into beekeeping with domestic and international audiences including beekeeping and gardening clubs, woman and motivational groups, libraries and corporate audiences. She is also available for consulting, radio interviews or television appearances.

Please plan your event ahead, the more information you can provide for us the easier it is to make it a success. If you would like to request Marina to speak to your group please let us know at least 3 months before your event in order to check availability.

Books:
If you are hosting an authors visit, you are responsible to make arrangements for copies of Marina’s books to be sold. All book sales are handled by Marina’s publisher and you may purchase them at wholesale. Please contact: Black Dog and Leventhal in NYC info@blackdogandleventhal.com or call 212-647-9336 to pre-order books for your event. You may also contact any local bookstore to bring copies of books to sell at the event.

Publicity:
The more publicity you generate, the more successful your event will be. We can provide a press release, publicity photos, biographical information and promotional materials to support your efforts.

Honorarium:
Speaking fees vary depending on upon Marina’s availability and schedule. Please let us know the size and scope of event, number and nature of attendees, location and venue, nature of the host organization and purpose of the event. Typical author visits are a 45 minute talk, Q&A and book signing. Honey tastings events are additional. Please let us know if you are a non-profit. To book air travel, Marina travels from Connecticut- CT and leaves from Hartford, Westchester, JFK or Newark airports. Hotel, meals and accommodations are additional.
