Marina's previous career as an illustrator and product designer plays an important role in her aesthetics as a honey entrepreneur and honey expert. She graduated from The School of Visual Arts. Her passion for design and pattern inspired her botanical watercolors which grace the pages in the second edition of her book The Honey Connoisseur.
