Bacon Cheddar Panini with Cranberry Honey & Apple
4 strips bacon
1/4 cup cheddar, grated
1/4 apple, thinly sliced
2 slices hearty bread
Cranberry honey, for drizzling
1 sprig thyme, as garnish
Preheat the broiler or toaster oven.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook bacon, flipping once, to desired
crispness. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate. Meanwhile, toast the bread.
Build the panini by layering the bacon, cheddar and apple starting and finishing
with the cheddar. Place panini under broiler or in toaster oven until cheese is melted and gooey. Garnish with cranberry honey and fresh thyme leaves.
Makes 1 delicious panini.
